Is ultrasonic cleaning and AirFlow painful?
Sensations are individual. In case of gum inflammation, exposed tooth necks, or hypersensitivity, discomfort is possible; the doctor can adjust the device settings and, if necessary, use local anesthesia.
How long does comprehensive oral hygiene take?
The full range of procedures (ultrasound, AirFlow, polishing, and enamel fluoridation) takes from 40 to 50 minutes.
Can I eat immediately after dental cleaning?
This depends on the finishing preparation. After certain fluoride-containing formulations, the doctor asks you to temporarily refrain from eating and drinking; the exact interval and restrictions will be communicated after the procedure.
Does AirFlow remove tartar?
No, AirFlow technology is designed to remove soft pigmented plaque and smoker's plaque. Hard dental deposits (calculus) are removed only by ultrasound.
Can gums bleed during or after cleaning?
Minor bleeding and sensitivity may occur with gum inflammation. If symptoms worsen, persist, or severe pain appears, contact the doctor.
How to properly care for teeth immediately after cleaning?
Continue careful home oral hygiene according to doctor's instructions. Restrictions on staining foods and toothbrush replacement are not necessary for everyone and depend on oral health and performed procedures.
